I remember Lee pretty well. We worked at Steak and Ale together just after High School and surfed together a bit. Lee cooked the "Lunch Rush". It took quite a bit of skill, with 50 or more steaks on the broiler at once. He, along with Phil Betz taught me their Broiler Man" skills. I use them to this day and if I must say at this very moment. Rest easy bro and thanks for the memories.
I too remember Lee; he lived down Greenfern from me and close to Phil Betz. We were playing cards (when we were supposed to be at school mid you) at Phil's house and I stayed later than I should. I think this is the time Phil was cleaning up after the card game and sucked a lit cigarette butt into the vacuum cleaner. About that time I left and borrowed Lee’s scooter and may have forgot to ask him in order to make it to band practice after school. While I may have missed a couple of classes from school I couldn't miss band rehearsal! Anyway, as I recall he got pretty upset with me, but not for long. We had some pretty good card games; I GUT, if you know what I mean!
