Obituary
Jerry Scott Baker (62) of Jacksonville, Florida passed away December 13, 2017. Jerry was born on August 10, 1955 in Madison, Indiana to parents Viola and Russell Baker. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Deborah Baker; daughter, Hillary Baker; sons, Christopher and Daniel Baker; only granddaughter, Braylynn; sister, Janet Coburn (David); brother, Craig Baker (Mary); sister-in-law, Sheila Whitley; brother-in-law, Robert Riley(Barbara); and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Jerry graduated from the University of Florida in 1977 followed by graduate studies at the University of North Florida. He loved the work, helping others, and especially the places he got to travel to. His family was always his top priority but a few of his other passions included his Gator football, guitars, his pets, traveling, and tinkering with his many projects.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clay County Humane Society @ www.clayhumane.org/donate.php 2230 Filmore St., Orange Park 32065.
